Several days passed before Summer, Travis and Liberty were able to move in. They had to go to their homes, pack and then drive back to San Myshuno. They showed up in time with two weeks left before college started. This would be a great opportunity for Melody to get to know each of them.
Her and Summer had already hit it off and had been texting ever since. The two were becoming quick best friends which made Liberty a bit uncomfortable. Her focus, however, was on Travis. She was going to be spending a lot more time with him now that they were roommates and sharing a bedroom.
“So what’s the deal with this little love triangle?” Melody asked Summer as they decorated their new bedroom.
“Love triangle?” Her eyes went wide, “what are you talking about?”
“Seriously? Travis looks at you like he’s a lost puppy and Liberty practically drools when he walks into the room.” Melody giggled.
“I mean, I had a feeling Liberty liked Travis, but I’m pretty sure he’s into guys.” She replied quietly.
“Did he say this?” Melody raised an eyebrow.
“No, but I’ve seen his browser history and well, he’s a gamer, but that’s not all he’s into!” She laughed.
Melody shrugged, “maybe he’s bi? Either way, he’s got something for you, I can tell.”
“I don’t know, I mean we’re not even that close, he’s so awkward around me.” Summer shrugged and finished unpacking her things.

After the girls got settled in, they went to sit in the living room to chat for a bit. Travis went straight to their study room, locked the door and began gaming in the new place.
“I’m so glad we could all move in like this!” Melody chimed in.
“Yeah, it should be good for us,” Summer smiled to Liberty.
“I guess…” she mumbled.
“Everything alright?” Melody asked with obvious concern in her eyes.
“Yes, it’s just a lot of change…” Liberty replied feeling awkward.
“It’s going to be great, don’t worry!” Summer perked up and smiled.
“It really will be,” Melody gleamed, “which brings me to a question I’ve been hesitant to ask you two. I have been wanting to visit Sulani for quite some time and I’ve saved up enough money to go, but I don’t want to go alone.”
She looked at the other two girls who looked puzzled. It was a weird request considering they just met, but it could be a good way to bond as well. Liberty shrugged and Summer smiled.
“Sure,” Summer replied, “it’d be a great way to bond!”
“Are you up for it Liberty?” Melody pouted.
“I mean, why not? I’m already going to be living with you for who knows how long,” she let out a faint laugh and looked to Summer.
Summer knew she was making a quirky joke and laughed in response. Her contagious laughter made Melody laugh as well and the girls continued to chat and bond over the little things. They made plans to leave for Sulani in the morning. It’d be an adventure for sure!
